Astrid Lindgren's World is located just north of Vimmerby (45 minutes south of Rimforsa). Here you can see all of Astrid Lindgren's characters such as Emil, and the famous Pippi Longstockings. There is plenty of room for children to run around and you can find some nice picnic spots in the park, as well as nice restaurants.

Theater in Astrid Lindgren's World If you visit Katthult, don´t be surprised if Emil comes rushing around the corner with father Anton hot on his heels. You can only keep your fingers crossed that there will be time enough for Emil to shut the door of the tool shed before Anton catches up. It can be a great experience for a young child to be in the center of events, with their favorite characters so close that you can touch them. If your children wish they may be a part of the theater together with the kids acting in Astrid Lindgren's World. The interaction between audience and actor is the very idea of improvised theater. The actors play their roles on the stage, and also mix with the audience.
