Lake  Drögen

Mysterious Lake Drögen with its numerous bays, rocky slopes, islands, and maximum depth of over 30 meters, where huge pikes and perches wait for the patient angler. This lake is very varied from an anglers point of view. Big pikes visit hidden shallow bays which are just on the edge of deep slopes, where they mostly live. On the sonar's screen you can often see numerous herds of the whitefish Felchen (Coregonus albula) “guarded” over by toothy, meter-long shepherds. Every season our guests catch pikes over 110 cm.

 

Recommended fishing methods

Anglers who visit us use mostly spinning and trolling. For pike-spinning on the slopes we recommend 15-25cm rubberfish on 10-40g jigs, depending on depth. In the springtime, in  shallow waters up to 4m, jerking with imitation small pike (20-30cm) can bring incredible results. A good technique is to try to tempt pikes hidden in reeds with spoons. 

Another story is trolling - very efficient in late spring and autumn, where we recommend mostly 20-30cm wobblers and the same size of rubberfish. Good trolling depths are mostly between 3-10 meters.

For our customers we have two cosy, fully-equipped houses: Appelkullen and Palehult, not far away from the water. Besides fishing, local forest gives you a great opportunity to rest while picking mushrooms, riding bicycles or watching wild animals.

Boats

Our standard fleet consists of over ten safe, comfortable and newly laminated boats; Terhi 4.6m with self-draining system. These boats are equipped with very economical 4-stroke engines; Tohatsu  9.8-15 HP.  We can also provide boats with 25 HP engines and by special order, a large aluminium boat with 50 HP engine. Each boat is equipped with life jackets, oars, 25m of 12mm floating rope with anchor, front line roller, fish-grip and kit for releasing fish. On every boat’s side there is a special measuring tape. We also deliver to our customers bathymetric charts with information about hot spots.
